 I thought it was very unusual to come across a mother duck with 10-11 juveniles in tow; I'm guessing she got such a large number due to ducklings that were orphaned and then joined her little group...

it also suffers from jpg compression - much more impressive full size

Five little ducks went out one day, over the hills and far away, Mother Duck she said quack, quack, quack .... and each one brought his best friend back.
