How could I have missed this before?? This image is perfect! I absolutely love this, wow, the cute dog, the wonderful B&W conversion, and that shiny, shiny floor...
He truly is fully relaxed and comfortable - with the single simple decorative ornament hanging on the tree in the backdrop it communicates to me that if one keeps the holiday nice & simple and relaxed one would enjoy the simple pleasure in life rather than have the chaotic whirlwind that mostly happens this time of year. This is the story that this photo communicates to me:-) Love those dynamic tonal ranges you have here as well. Wonderful details can be seen in this beautifully captured and composed B & W pet portrait.
Can I just tell you how much I adore this??? Love the reflection, the tones, the textures and of course that glorious moppy dog!!! Oh I just spotted the ornament. Perfect that he's snoozing beneath the tree.
Wow! Not only is your floor perfectly clean, (that reflection is to die for!) but that lone ornament poking its way into the shot just adds to the serenity of this. LOVE it in b/w.
Looks very comfortable, as well as fluffy. Looks like a belly rub is in order. I love the perspective and the tone treatment as well. I think either a bit more DOF or a bit less would have been the only change I would have made. Although its near perfect as it is, and I'm a bit wierd. :D
Your dog melted!!! Absolutely perfect perspective to realize just how relaxed he is. The ornament lends a neat little bit of added interest and changes the mood a little, I think. Makes the relaxation more clearly a happy one.
this is amazing! For me, it would work perfectly as an xmas card with the ornament hanging from the tree in the background. You've done a bang up job with the focus and b/w conversion!!
What a fabulous shot of this adorable pooch, Lisa! I love the soft reflection on the floor. The tree branch and ornament provide great visual balance to the image, as well as context. Love it!
this is the most excellent photograph lisa .. a beautiful looking dog, a brilliant process and i love the reflections .. the christmas tree bauble in the corner is a great added touch .. probably pooped out from all the christmas shopping .. :)
