 I'm new to photography and just got a couple of real cheap flashes for a ghetto studio. I bounced the main off a white wall, and bounced the fill off a white box I found in the closet. I don't have any backgrounds, so I turned off the lights in the room and increased the shutter to as fast as my cheapo wireless triggers can sync to not expose the couch and stuff.

Greetings from the critique club...

My first impression is that this is a great photograph. I was not able to vote for this challenge, but if I had, I would probably have given this image a 7.

From a technical standpoint, the image is balanced, the focus is incredibly sharp, and the lighting is diverse.

You've done a very good job at showing the viewer there are 2 light sources, and this is reflected in your score. I really enjoy the shape of the catch light in her eyes.

Lovely portrait evokes emotion. Great detail and flesh tones. I may have cropped a bit more off the right ... and the left (more on the right than the left.) Still, wonderful!
