 This is my first submission--photo was croped,resized,and border was added. Just used an ordinary standing house lamp. Wanted it to be dark but also have the subject pop out in the picture. I used a bue background under glass.

This is too dark and out of focus, work on this before worrying about borders.

Straight as an arrow is a good concept. The problem I have with the shot is that it is too dark, there is too much noise, and the focus is soft.

I would like to see some more reflection from the blades and a little less grain in the carbon.

a little more exposure might have made the subject more visible, but the composition is very nice
