This is one of the two gerbera from the Backlighting IV challenge entry, Gerbera Glow (AKA Duetto II) [thumb]742138[/thumb] . Must of heard me say what will I shoot for Twisted/Straight.
Post: Camera Raw Adjustments in PSElements 6.0. Crop to 1.25:1 landscape, then square than 1.25:1 portrait. Couple of subsequent crops for composition. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation. Adjust sharpness. Resize. USM

IMO, the longer one looks at this photo, the more one appreciates it. At first, it looks like a wilting flower. In just a short time, you can see how easily the photo meets the challenge. The lighting is terrific in the way it seems to highlight the twisting petals. This is a great photo and I hope it does well.
Sweet shot, lovely oranges and browns and not your usual flower. Crisply sharpned, great DOF stunning black in the back really makes the flower pop. Great job well done 9
