Woooooot! Thanks! Thanks! Thanks!
This is the wire I used the the Periodic Table challenge.
I loved the silvery grey of the wire and thought it would go well with the orange background. The biggest problem was keeping the marble from constantly dropping through the wire. Can’t count the number of times it bounced all over the kitchen floor.
I used one of my orange transparencies taped to a sheet of glass for the background. One flash behind the sheet of glass, the other at the front but low and slightly to the side.

Flawless! Clean. Beautiful. Award winning as always Irene! You're in a class all your own!
At least you could be arrogant and full of yourself so we could all hate you and feel justified in our raging jealousy :) Tee hee. But you are so humble and sweet and unchangingly "one of us" still :) You're perfect just like your photos! No fair!
The thing about your shots is that they're so clean, and that's part of the attractiveness of them. Congratulations agian.
As for the marble continually falling off, I would suggest using a bit of sticky tape residue to help it stay in place better. In Japan, at least, there's a stationery product that lets you make a sticky trail for double-sided taping - very useful stuff.
stunning. the color, sharpness, composition, everything is perfect! one of my ribbon candidates. however i can see you applied border before resizing... but of course, this a 10!
What can say? This is a great photo for this challenge. The lighting is terrific. Sharp focus and nice DOF. Interesting to look at. Should easily finish in the top 5! I'm pulling for ya! Good Luck!!
Now this is very nice, Sharp, clean, clear, curvaceous lines, leading your eyeballs to the roundness of the silky smooth blushing ball of red and green. Nice non grainy orange background, you have done a great job, well done 10
