This is a metal sculpture of a dog that my mom has. He is painted white but my mom keeps him outside our house on the back deck by the door (he isn't a very good guard dog). Both me and my mom agree that he looks much more interesting with the rust and that it adds to his character. He was my first idea when I saw the challenge.
Processing:
I had used the vivid feature in my camera to make the colors ... more vivid.
Then in photoshop I just adjusted the levels and brightness/contrast.

Interesting subject. Definately rusted. I like how you have all of him in the shot. I like the background, and I think that the 'from above' angle is alright too. Focus and clarity are good, and I think that the lighting is what makes the shot. I like how some areas are shadowed and some are brighter. Overall a nice job. congrats. ~Heather~

when i first say the dog, i sort of grown since i compared it immediately to the other dog photo in the challenge but then I took in the photo on its own merits...and it is great!
Nifty subject, but I would have liked some context. With the black background, it's just floating in space. It would have been great on a grassy lawn, or on a floor by a fireplace or chair as if it was a real dog.
