I love animal shots, but in this case something im noticing as i focus on different areas, if you were to crop the log and reflection where it meets the water where the whole is that would be a very interesing vista type of shot too.
The soft carving of the curves on the male is in contrast to the harshness of the log, good capture. Nice and sharp, clean shot on the water, well done
The great contrast and extreme wrinkles of the log make it the subject, and the twisted necks of the ducks are hardly noticed. Otherwise a nice shot...
