Hmmm. An interesting choice. On one hand the stairs give us a foreground subject, but on the other they are rather ugly and I personally hate the "hand of man" in my own landscapes. (I just entered a shot where a staircase like that, much smaller in the composition, just got completely cloned out) Personally I'm guessing I would have walked 30 feet forward and left the stairs out. The rest of the picture is great. I love the water and rocks. 7 (8-9 without the stairs).
Interesting range of colors, light & effects here. I like quite a bit of it, but am a *little* put off by the uncorrected perspective on the stairs. I personally never do lens corrections on my wide angles, but for some reason the mix of natural & man-made objects here kind of begs for it. Regardless, this is a nicely done... -- 7 --
I like this composition better than your FS entry but feel that the stairs detract from what would otherwise be an awesome natural scene, very nicely done anyhow
Such a cool contrast between the metal and the nature. The line on the rocks where it looks oversharpened really bugs me and could have been easily remedied with some spot editing, but this is so cool. It is nice to see a dramatically colored landscape with different elements to it.
