I barely shoot people, much less kids so something new for me again .... from the weekend on the Isle of Wight, this is my partners brother and his two kids having a story read to them. Bounced speedlight off the ceiling.
This is really a wonderful shot and one that will probably be cherished years from now when the kids are grown. What really makes it for me are the smiles and interaction between the subjects. The 3 form a nice triangle to lead the eye around the photo. The lighting is good on the children, but it would be nice to balance out Dad a bit in the back.
A very nice photo to look at. The kids looks more interested in posing and the camera than the book. Very nice lightning. Good combination with the darker background
