These birds are native to Peru. They were shot at Butterfly World in FL.
I was really happy to capture the bird with its "ear" feathers extended. Sorry about the quality of the image. Since it was shot against the strong light, I had to do a lot of processing to bring out the bird, which was almost silhouetted in the original.
What an amazing capture! It's totally fascinating - I had to stare at it for a while. Love the perspective, and congrats on your postprocessing - very good stuff.
