This is a Shure 55SH II microphone - the purple color comes from light reflected off of shiny purple wrapping paper. The blue was added with Photoshop as I couldn't figure out a way to do it during the shoot. A last minute entry taken an hour before deadline so I was in a hurry. It's sitting in a lightbox, but I let a little bit of direct light leak through the opening because I liked the hotspot. Now I'm not so sure, because it's blown out a little bit. Live and learn!

Nice. I believe if you did have everything sharp instead of out of focus area on the right, it would look better.
I like the colors. Very cool colors. crop is ok but I think I would either crop it more on top, or give more space to even top with bottom.
I would give around 7 if I did vote, and I believe 5.7 is about right for overall score. Vignette border and a bit more image processing (not whole a lot) could get you bit more score... then again, it's my personal opinion :P

Styx in their weirdest phase. I like the purple light, and am pretty much clueless on what this is, though it looks like a filter of some kind. Awfully nice and clean housing for it.
I REALLY like this one. Maybe because I'm into retro looking stuff and maybe because of the awesome color scale going across the whole thing. Probably both..
