There have been lots of chain pictures in this challenge, and each has it's own personality. This one has such harmonious colors and textures that, for me, it stands out from the rest. Good use of light and shadow here as well.

I don't like the lighting in this photo - appears to be a harsh flash. it has the effect of flattening the colours and rendering an otherwise interesting image less so.
Definitely rusted. Nice textures and lines. You are the victim of being one of many, many "chain link" images so competition is tough. The best advise I'd offer on your entry is to do the exact same thing again when you have some dramatic lighting. The flat lighting here nakes it pretty mundane.
