Shoehorn? I don't care, I like this photo, and other photos you have on your page, great work.
Some said you should have some lights in the sky, like dusk, but I think it's great the way it is. Very sharp, very nice exposed, or fixed(!) whichever, but it does give me "wow" when I look at it first, and that's what you want from your photos... to make viewers go "wow"
I don't have much to say for this work, it's a nice photo, I can use this as my desktop background, very relaxing for my eyes (send me a large version of this please). Composition is very nice, cropped exactly what it should be.
Damn, DNMC people, kick them in their asses for giving such low points just because of that... I sometimes agree with DNMC but sometimes you have to be open minded, and appreciate the work, whatever it is.
What a view! Only thing I would suggest is shooting this scene with a slight bit of light in the sky. Either twilight or dusk. the red sign grabs my attention. So much going on.
Nice sharp city shot. It's a different aspect of heart. What are the light splotches above the city, distant lights, noise, or what? I would suggest selecting the whole dark "sky" part and reduce brightness to get rid of it.
the photo in no way meets the challenge without the catchy title. This is a take a photo challenge not a name that photo challenge. Sorry, (1) for me. nice photo though.
Remarks: A decent night shot, well ordered in every respect and not without emotional impact or sense. I enjoyed the absence of blown highlights so common to this genre.
Interesting interpretation, but I wouldn't get it without the title. Doesn't feel very sharp, almost like there were camera shake, did you use a tripod? I think you have good composition.
