As I was leaving the beach I almost walked right by this rusted chain. I was actually returning to my car after shooting some seascapes. I thought it would fit the challenge nicely.

Thias picture is good; (the chain looks a bit redundant) and the blurred view through the aperture is telling; leaving the chain in sharp focus, and the
viewers to make what they will of it.

Too often I have found backgrounds distracting and wish they had been hidden. This one I believe should be brought into focus. f60 maybe. Still a 6, the foreground is very attractive as well.
Very pleasant take on the challenge here. Good composition. Perhaps a bit more depth of field to take in that wiindow view which appears to be scenic. The border might be a bit heavy for the image, but not bad.
