Unfortunately, this is my first decent entry in a while... on the other hand I've been expanding my photography business so I guess the lack of time on here is a decent indicator of doing well there. I was inspired by the recent lone leaf in the free study and wanted to do something will all the fall leaves. Pretty simple shot, just a wet dead leaf(which I accidentally burned a little while I was trying to dry it out on our lamp...oops!) I set the leaf on our piano bench, sprayed it with a spray bottle, at shot it using my new 40D with a Sigma 50-150mm with a 36mm extension tube. The live view on the 40D was really helpful for this type of macro stuff. Hope it does well, I'm really hoping to get back into the 6.0+ range with this one and I feel pretty good about it. I think some people might fault me for not having a "red" enough leaf but to me the image still says "red." Not too much post processing... shot in jpeg, levels, hue/saturation, USM, sharpened, resize, save for web. Thanks!
