This photo was taken on the beach of Ameland, a small island of the Netherlands. The bird (I think a Calidris alba)was very funny to see because it was running so quickly. It searches for food left behind by the waves but wants to avoid new waves so it runs back and forth al the time.

Not sure that this reflection really counts as mirror to me. Nice shot of this bird, however.

Added: After reading the discussions in the score thread, I went and looked up definitions of "mirror" from several sources. I did not consider a reflection in water to be a mirror. Several sources use that as a secondary definition, so I must now consider a reflection in water to be a creative interpretation. I think it only fair to reevaluate my original vote on this and possibly give you some points back.

nice shot and good reflection. color wise a little bland- may work better as a b&w since there's not much color, but some good whites from the wave- could create a nice contrast to make it pop more?

water can act like a mirror but it's not truly a mirror. Sorry if I'm not too open minded for this contest

Nice reflection, not a mirror, but neat anyway, 6.
