I'm not sure stranded and abandoned are synonymous. Also, I'm not sure what the desat is doing for your image. Maybe you won't see the humor in this, but I'm thinking the desat will make her pretty easy to find!
Actually the building by itself might have been a stronger image.
I like the way this was shot and edited. The woman stands out very well and focuses attention onto both her and the building behind it because of the contrast from colour to B&W. However....this says more "stranded" than abandoned to me.
I like the shack behind her, I like that you made her colors stand out from the b&w. I'm not sure about the story behind the pic: was she dropped off to fend for herself in the backwoods, did her car break down, run out of gas? Another element in the picture (car driving away, broken, etc.) would add more depth to the story of the character in the pic imho.
