This was shot on my first day in Europe. I was thrilled with the way this one turned out. I'm thinking this might lose some of its appeal, because the street photography is happening right now, but this was probably my favorite shot from the whole Europe trip, so I figured I'd enter.

My 10,000th comment: Your score prediction is eerily close! You shoulda yelled at that guy to stop and put his hands up and then snapped the pic. :P A terrific image - worth an 8x10 frame on your wall.
Quite delighted to find this shot is yours. I didn't get my votes in for this FS but I browsed a bunch of pics and remember this one as it stood out for me. Really like how all the elements in the shot come together. Shot could use a slight crop off the bottom but that's my only nitpick ;) The heart on the wall is a nice touch. Hope you had an awesome trip.
Ryan this is really, really cool. The composition and movement is just perfect, love how that one leg is fixed and the heart in the wall is a nice touch too. To top it off, tones are just great and a very nice, subtle duotone conversion.
Karl smiled to himself as he made his way to work. Throughout society, there was a fascination and obsession with superheroes like never before. Movies, comics, games. They seemed to be saturated with these super beings with powers untold. Everywhere you looked, people wanted to be superheroes. They played with superhero toys, they drank from superhero themed cups. They ate at superhero themed restaurants.
Yet for all of their love for these beings, these symbols of humanity's desire to strive for more, better, stronger, easier, for all of that people still knew that super-beings were a fiction.
Karl smiled again, and passed among the buildings unnoticed, speeding along so quickly that none could even tell he'd been there. Yes, let them think it was all a fiction. He didn't mind. Sometimes a super power didn't mean you had to be super at all.
