My other option for the Affluence challenge. I prefer it to the one I entered.
Crop, shadows/highlights, CS3's B&W conversion tool. Slight tint added with a color balance layer if I'm reading my saved steps correctly.

I find these things fascinating, and would love to visit one day. What was that great big area used for when it was built? The tint is perfect for this type of shot.
