Here you are, Deb! This is the gentleman you spotted in my Day 4 entry up close and personal. I was looking through my shots again and realised it was the same man.

Spot metered this one off his face to get the exposure. However, during processing I decided I'd sent the sky too bright and threw a texture over it to bring a little detail back in.

I don't know the story so keep that in mind as I give feedback on this shot :) - I think that some of the top could be cropped off to add to the comp of this shot.. about half ... he has a strong face.. it holds my interest.. his expression is interesting.. I like the sepia and the slighlty blown out look - it all works.

He doesn't look nearly as dangerous up close, does he? Instead he looks rather thoughtful. I envy your ability to spot meter on a face - I suppose I should learn to use that setting on my camera at some point. Processing suits it and the bit of texture really does mitigate the plain background.
