I really like the colors and the perspective in this image. The detail including the cracks in the skin make it very interesting. I wasn't here to vote, but I would have scored this quite high. Congrats on the ribbon. Beautiful photograph.

What great detail and lighting on this! Reminds me of my own work. My fingers used to look like that when I worked as a field technician fixing copiers. I used lots of stuff that was hard on my hands, and couldn't do any detailed work if I wore gloves. When I eventually transitioned to doing network integration, the nasty hands went away (and my wife was happier).
