Nice use of side lighting to bring out the facial texture to make him look masculine. However it is still a bit too dark and a bit of a reflector fill woul have helped. It appears that you can see a sharpening halo around the subject. Overall nice shot.
Nice color tones and good control of lighting. It does seem that the eyes are on the fringe of the focal range (look a little soft). Good luck in the challenge.
