HEre I use the luminance channel and then contrast. The light comes from the sun but with the help of a mirror..I made this photo in my garden...

For some reason, if one has to hint the color away in the title, the composition itself isnt as strong IMO. The picture is great technically. I would just move the light a bit more to the right. Good job otherwise.

Nice tight composistion. I even like the stray hair, drawing the eye to the EYE. Well lit and good contrast.

Pretty eye! The one thing that bothers me is the hair going across the eye and putting a shadow on the iris.
