DQ: well this is probably the saddest reason ever to get a DQ for a very very very stupid reason, the bottom black is border I cropped in camera so that the image was this shape but the edge of the curb did not line up with the line created by the ground and wall meeting. So i just cropped it out and added the border to keep true with the original composition. didn't even think twice about this rule until after the challenge. stupid...

That DQ was SO ridiculous!! "Bummer" takes on a new meaning, you had a brilliant shot there that I loved when I first saw it. You should have many ribbons, in my opinion!
So sorry to see that this got DQ'd...that's the real bummer. Still a great shot and there are more ribbons out there with your name on them (maybe even 23 more! : )
The fear of every clown, and most others, too. It's very good representation of that concept. It doesn't look bad with the character in the Botom-Right 1/4-ers, but the space on the bottom emphasises more emptyness, as does the static-ness of being centered.
I love this image and think it deserved a little higher! ...sorry to see that you are on the Canadian Team, but I am absolutely ecstatic that you are not an Islander! Congratulations on a beautiful image, and a well deserved ribbon!
Good looking, sparse type of shot. Think you could have cropped off some of the negative space. After a point it starts to take away from the image rather than enhance the sense of isolation. Not voting, just commenting. Good luck.
