The out of focus parts dominate so strongly that I have a difficult time looking at the shot.

i cant find a focal point or color for the subject..

I can't figure this out. What is the person holding? What is supposed to be in focus? Perhaps if I knew the answers to these, I would think 'color' when I view this.

I fail to get a sense of any color here.. except the color of the subject's hair or eyes.

the focus is really bad in the front, it does trough off the picture..
