This was shot in the living room for her "10th b-day" pictures. It was much harder than I expected, due to lack of space, a stiff new sheet for background, and the fact that I was taking the pictures. She was easily distracted.
Feel free to comment on her expression, I'm undecided whether it's natural or just not quite right.
Wow, this is really striking. The expression looks natural, but it's hard to know without knowing the subject. The focus on the eyes is so sharp and really grabs your attention.
The expression is fine -- even if it's not completely relaxed, it's genuine. I like the tight framing and the slight angle. The focus in the right eye (her left) seems a bit soft relative to the other eye, but maybe I'm looking too hard. It's a nice portrait.
