shot the photo with an improvised soft light and also a tissue on the flash light. in camera raw some changes on exposure, fill blacks, saturation, temperature, contrast and light. in PS just cropped it and turned it 90 grades and that was all

Clever idea, took me a while to get what I was looking at, the hook blends in with the dark background but the cigarette would blend with a lighter one - not sure how to remedy that.
The Hook is a little dark and I almost missed it which is a shame because it's the point of your photo. However, for those interested - I smoked for 28 years and CHANTIX helped me quit in 17 days. That was 7 months ago.
I don't really understand the fish hook, and I think the line distracts from the more interesting smoke. Otherwise, this is a fantastic take on "risk."
