taken under really bad middle school/community field light about 8:30 PM. The sun was already setting, and there was minimal natural light.

Considering the lighting and the slower lens you used, I thing you did a good job. NOw, if one of those players is your son, you did an excellent job and have created something you can cherish. Blow it up to 8x10 and put it on his wall and you will become his hero!
