Very machine-like, I feel a little more or less in the background would improve it, right now it feels like it can't decide whether it's busy or blank.

Good idea but too cluttered, if your title didnt say spokes on it then I would have no idea what this pic would be. At first it looked like a blade. Love the contrast and lighting, great pic just too cluttered and needs a better composition.
