 my best approximation of Melethia's "Ode to Joy" so far! :)

attempted to capture barn swallows in flight at the ocean and not figuring out that it's virtually impossible to predict the course of their flight while panning

yes, I've tried to pan swallows, too! impossible! that's what makes it so much fun. This is gorgeous.

This swallow must have been moving quite fast to look this blurred at 1/50 sec shutter speed. It's interesting that it is so blurry, yet clearly recognizable as a swallow because of the forked tail.
