This was a last minute entry and the shot wasn't taken with the challenge in mind. I increased the exposure in RSE and it looked OK. After the disaster of my Abstract B&W entry I figured I'd try again with my cat Furface - hey, it couldn't do worse - could it?

First Impressions:
The image lacks the overexposure that this challenge really calls for. Other than that the pet portrait isn't really that interesting IMO. The image lacks what it needs to really catch the viewers eye.
The fix:
I'm amazed that took 19th but most of the time it depends on what else is in the challenge. Take some time to think about what you want to shoot before you actually do. I read that this is a last minute submission and sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't. If you would have brought some more highlights into the image I think you could have scored better.
