I don't quite understand the image -> theme.

The picture looks like it could do with a bit more contrast although I really like the lighting around the nasal area(?)

Yes, it's the 'End of the Road' as you've pointed out. I thought we were looking for 'Road Less Traveled'? Death is the Road certainly traveled by all. The photo is nice but...

I can't tell whether you mean this thing is an evolutionary dead end or it's threatening to eat me, but both possibilities are worthy of an extra point for avoiding the obvious.
