I took this little (3/4") guy out of a salt water swimming pool after tropical storm FAY. It wouldn't come out of its shell until I rinsed it off in fresh water. I don't know where it prefers to live, so I put it in a shady area with a lot of leaves on the ground.
I wonder what it sees with those little eyes.
Beat Larus, but not because mine was so great. This month, Larus went extreme on his entry -- good photo, but not well appreciated by the voters.

Shame on me as I have not been looking at your portfolio for a while. I love the rich colors in this. Really good macro. The shadow adds some interesting depth to this as well.
the shadow from flash is very strong, and the white in the corner is distracting, but the detail is realy cool, i love those little divets and whatnot!
