Cropped. Was walking along a path at the Pacific Ocean at 10:00 a.m. on a grey day and happened upon this scene. Thought the colours were nice and the birds were in harmony.

I put this shot side by side with the blue ribbon and spent a while deciding which was the best. From me, you got the 10, the blue ribbon got the 9. Sorry that it didn't work out in our favor. This shot goes to my favorites.
My choice for best of show. Normally I would not like such a strong verticle component such as the tree stump placed so far to the left. However ot work quite nicely here with both of the birds gazing intently to whatever is out there.
I really like the composition. The fact that there is two birds really adds to the image. If there was only one I don't feel that it would of had the same impact.
