Finally, something caught that was not staged. Good capture. If you're like me you are limited by you're lens; if you don't have a telephoto lens (ex. 75-300mm) there's not alot you can do to make your DOF shallower. Would have been a better capture with just the deer's head in sharp focus, that way the trees and other elements wouldn't have been so distracting. Also I find that it has a slight purple colour cast; you can remove this in Photoshop in levels using the gray eyedropper by sampling something gray in the image; with an image like this it is mostly trial and error because you don't have something "controlled" like an 18% gray card to sample. |
