Maybe moving to the left and getting rid of the house and power pole would have made the horse stand out a little better. The large dof makes me wander all over the shot instead of the horse - try a larger aperture.
It's well done, but it's just not 'exciting', I think. Perhaps if the house weren't there it would seem more pastoral? I don't know... But, I'm rambling, huh? :)
