Raw convert, remove color, levels adjust, USM, neat-image, remove dust spot, straighten & crop, add B&W boarder and save for web.
My nightmare was one upset wife when she came home and saw doors removed from the house in the back yard..... All is well now after I reinstalled them and they still work.

I'm surprised you and I are the only ones to think of this. But I never got to doing it though. lol Well done. My plan was to have the door open in its doorframe.
Wow this was an awesome idea! I appreciate the effort and work that went into making this image possible. I think if it was up to me, I would have underexposed the background and left the door all alone to draw your eye in and keep it there on the door instead of the detail behind it. Good luck.
I like that shadow created by the back lighting. It creates a looming effect. The isolated door is a great idea. It seems like the lighting is a little too bright on the door, it's almost too much contrast with the background.
