I have to be frank here, I think that in the challenges at DPC this probably would not score too well. That's not to say that it's not a good photograph, in fact I quite like the framing, the background and the sky, it's a great location for this shot. However, for a DPC challenge I would have moved a lot closer to the horses and tried to make the shot a lot more personal, filling the frame with one horse (or simply its head), distorting perspecive with the 18mm end of your lens or getting a little more action out of the horses.
