I actually brought a 'Woody' about 6 months ago, in case we had a 'Woody' challenge. He is quite tall, and I had an idea straight away. Yes, I used some of the 'pencil wood shavings' that I used in the challenge, that I won my first ribbon.
I also sharpened some more colored pencils, to get enough for this challenge, as I needed quite a lot, to place around a lying down 'Woody', to get the effect. I arranged his arms and hands in this position, to make him look like he is offering something to someone, hence my title, "The Offering".

Well I did what he suggested, and now it is on the front page of my portfolio, where I want it to be. Thank Ken, as I forgot one could do that.
Did anyone notice that it was not my usual 'square crop' for this challenge.

Hiya Shez! I love this image and think it's beautiful and very creative. I must admit that, based on the comments you received, I am in the minority in how I interpreted your shot. I thought it was meant to sweetly depict the special gift that a new bride saved for her soul mate on their wedding night. I suppose that was silly since Woody is a boy! : ) Oh well. Very well done sweet sister!
Ha ha ha, you should have put 'adult content' on this, lol. Love the textures and colours, and very amusing offering! You must have been sharpening pencils for days!
I should have known this was you! Perfect! And has "Shez" written all over it. Very well executed, from all the crisp, perfect pencil shavings to just the right light. And yes, I did notice it wasn't square - that's the one thing that made me stop and wonder if it was yours! But the crop is just right the way you have. This is still my favorite image out of the challenge. I think it should have made top 3. Top 10 is good though.

I wish there was a little more contrast and I think the lighting could be a tad better. I really want to give it a 10 but I gotta go with a 9. Still my favorite of the challenge so far.
