 Day 8 of 30 Flowers

Back to the Morning Glories for a couple of those wonderful twisty buds. These flowers just fascinate me; in all their life stages they're lovely.

12mm extension tube in midday sun.

PP - converted from RAW, levels, white balance, dodged buds, 2nd layer (Gaussian blur, lighten buds, merge in multiply mode at 30% transparency), desaturated yellows and yellower greens, increased saturation on blue-magenta, gradient dark green filter on background, added border, resized, sharpened.

Really great spiral and excellent background. I like all the shades of green in this, with just a hint of purple peeking through the not-yet-opened blossom.

Excellent, love those patterns. The gaussian blur gives it a great touch of glow.

I have a bunch of these on the side of my house but they are blueish. Been thinking of shooting them and now I'm inspired.

Oooo... I love that spiral. Flowers are so facinating.

Great lighting here too. Even the background has an interesting green marble texture. The tiny bit of pink poking out is pretty cute, heh.
