 Serendipitous ecological niche perhaps?

brightness decreased, contrast increased, hue/saturations settings changed, sharpened..that's all.

This is an interesting image in its abstractness. I like the strong contrast the shadow creates. The composition could have been a lot tighter, focusing more on treeling and its shadow. I don't think this meets the criteria for the challenge, however. I don't see the serendipity involved. Seedlings growing out of foundations are a common occurance.
