Love the humor. And for a long time I had a boot as a planter ... for some reason my husband didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I did. And I can't say I remember getting rid of it ... but it seems to have disappeared from my garden. Wonder what he did with it.

Haha!! Your title is great and I can think of a few of my sons shoes that could very well be "sprouting" spontaneous life too ;)!!

Shame you didn't enter it in the Still Life, it is one that would actually have met the challenge topic :) Very nicely done.

TeeHee! Very cute shot! The footpowder makes this a very humorous shot, but even without the powder it would be a great composition! I love the way the bottom plants grow out like laces! Nicely done!!

Great plant container. I love how the tongue of the boot is curled under. Good choice of plants for this boot arrangement. A fun photo.

I just got some seeds for hen and chicks, I'm going to dig thru the old box of throw away shoes now! So cool!

Very clever. I think I'd like to see a little sharper focus on the plants.

ROFL! Wonderfully done! This would have done well in the still life challenge!

Ha, cute!! I really like chicks and hens and this is a unique container for them.

I love the old shoe, awesome textures and detail, and yes, this is a great idea for a still life image. I would prefer this image with just the shoe with the plants inside, and the background for more effect and more visually pleasing.
