The compisition is fine. The flower just seems like it is in really bright sun light which is very harsh and takes way from the beauty of the subject.

Good macro detail, but pretty harsh. Maybe tone down the contrast a bit, desat jut a bit to give it some gentleness?

Awesome use of depth of field but this would have been so much better with softer lighting. it does have impact though.
