We went to the Tahquamenon State Park in the uppper peninsula of Michigan today to see the falls. These are the upper falls which are much bigger than the lower falls. The water is colored due to organic materials created by decaying trees.
Very cool to see but very hard to take pictures of.
Good job on achieving the painterly effect. Wherever did you get the idea? This turned out quite well, especially since it was a rushed shot due to rain and impatient children.
