No special tricks, just lucky timing. I set the light bulb up and used a remote shutter release. This was the first attempt. The second didn't work and I didn't want to waste any more light bulbs after that.

Cool. The tool is a litle blurred. Don´t know if it´s out of focus (shallow DOF for fast shutter speed) or if it´s motion blurr. You porbably haven´t got many changes for repeating and testing. The capture of the braking bulb is great but as I said, the "tool" (dont know the english word for it) which is the main subject is not as good. Good experiment, continue that.
