On my way home from work tonight, I stopped over at Port Melbourne, and took this...........the ferry to Tasmania, which sets sail each night, to cross the Bass Strait, and return the next morning.
Long exposure, shortly after sunset, when it already looked totally dark. Not a technically perfect shot, with blown highlights, but it is what I see on my way to and from work each day, so therefore truly a slice of life, for me. I hate commuting, but I love seeing the ferry, and all the people coming and going on it.
Thanks all, for the comments. No Ken, I didnt tonemap it, and dont even know how to do HDR. It's just a long exposure, just after sunset.......hardly any photoshopping at all, apart from saturating the red.
stunning shot .. love those dramatic and vibrant colours .. and how amazing that they were there just like that .. its hard to believe you didnt photoshop them in .. brilliant .. :)
