My gracious, that's strong coffee! Ha! Nice take on the challenge. Having the second cup in the background was a good idea, but the background itself is rather oddly lit, and the cropping around the coffee pot is a bit off for me.
What a clever idea. Your picture is very nice. I love the colors and focus. It might have been a bit better if you hadn't cropped off the bottom part of the front coffee cup.
I like the theme and composition, the foreground looks a little under exposed to me. Maybe it's my monitor. I would put a little more light on the spoon.
got a :) from me (just how I like it!) Technically: I'd like to see a crisper focus on the main elements and the composition is a bit off (the cup cut to get the spoon in is a too tight crop to my taste)
Good setup and very comic. The lightning seems ok though the WB is litle strange, the pinkish/redish light is litle strange. The cup in the forground could be a litle sharper.
Just need a horseshoe melting away in the cup. I'm looking at this picture thinking back to my Louis L'Amour westerns talking about coffee, but not with those china cups like that... Wish you could distinguish more of the handle of the spoon as it comes out of the coffee.
original. i like that, but it could use a bit morelight on the surface of the coffee and the spppn. the spoon is silhouetted and disappears into the coffee - not ideal for the main focus of a pic.
Very clever -- good play on words. I don't like the orange/red cast in the light. This can be improved by shooting in "incandenscent/lightbulb/tungsten" white balance mode (if your camera offers it). It can also be corrected in Photoshop by adjusting the Hue/Saturation or Levels. Both functions offer selective color or per-channel color correction. Additionally, I would like to see some detail in the spoon -- it's just solid shadow, perhaps a white card reflecting a tad of light onto the spoon would be just enough to bring back the detail. I know it sounds like I'm hammering on you, but I really like your image!
