Nice portrait, a little more "strength face" and looking ahead could help, but I know by own experience how difficult is the kids to do what you want them to when you want them to. I had imagined something similar to this one, but the kid didn't want to pose :(

the objects in the background are distacting, even more the one which appears to be getting out the child's head.

Nice candid, but too bad about the blown out whites, although this may be what you were going for. If so, I suggest you tone them down just a little. Also black border gets lost in the top. Either use another tone, or first white border then followed by black.

Maybe overcontrasted but then again it gives a original effect and the main subject seems perfectly exposed. The expression of the boy´s face and body is very nice.
