Ants are truly amazing creatures. I wrote something about them once that was published in the newspaper, but haven't yet been able to take a decent photo of them. This shot tells a lot about them.

Such a quietly beautiful image! It's hard to critique this. Perhaps a sharper focus on the ant and blade--but I think the subject and depth of field make that difficult. Bumping you up on the scores for the second time.....

One of the best pictures at meeting this challenge’s theme; I gave it high marks but I gave a few others higher just due to the fact IMO that the right side is more unfocused and it unbalances the picture in my eye's when I look at it. Still it is a good shot. Deserving of an 7.69 in my book and since I cant score this like that :) … 8 Good Luck in the challenge.

Great shot, shame about the noise levels... did you try NeatImage? Used on the background you could really make the foreground pop out. Shame the ant isn't sharper, I can see you've already tried sharpening in Photoshop.
